32 Counties, 32 Shots, The Complete Story E-Book

Back in July 2025, I set myself a challenge that on paper seemed almost impossible: to travel through all 32 counties of Ireland in 32 days. Every single day, I had to take a photograph, walk at least a kilometre, score a point on a local GAA pitch, and find a coffee shop. It was never just about ticking boxes — it was about testing myself, sharing the journey, and most importantly, raising awareness and support for Pieta House.

It wasn’t easy. The weather was unpredictable at best and brutal at worst. Some days I was soaked through before I even unpacked the camera. Finding a GAA pitch wasn’t always straightforward either — in some counties, it meant driving around aimlessly until I finally stumbled upon one. And there were mornings when exhaustion hit hard, and the idea of another long drive and another shoot felt overwhelming.

But alongside the challenges came moments that made it all worthwhile. The generosity of people I met along the way, from coffee shop owners who fuelled the journey to locals who pointed me toward hidden spots, kept me going. The small triumphs of scoring a point on each pitch, sometimes cheered on by strangers, sometimes completely on my own, became symbols of determination and consistency. And then there were the successes in the photography itself — those rare windows when the light broke through, the conditions aligned, and the shot came together.

I’ve now brought all of that into one place: my new e-book, 32 Counties, 32 Shots.

Inside, you’ll find one image from each county, along with the story behind the day it was taken — the challenges, the setbacks, and the small victories. I’ve also included links back to the original videos for every county and GPS pins so you can stand exactly where I stood if you want to see the landscapes for yourself.

But this book is not about me. From the very beginning, this project was about Pieta House and the work they do. Others might have looked at something like this and thought of it as a way to make money or gain personally. That was never my motivation. This e-book is a way to keep the project alive and, more importantly, to raise further funds for Pieta House.

When you download the book with a €20 donation, you’re not just getting a record of my journey. You’re helping Pieta House continue their vital work, offering free, life-saving services to people and families in crisis. At the same time, I hope the book gives you something meaningful — a story of persistence, connection, and the beauty of Ireland seen county by county.

This campaign will close on October 14th. After that, the iDonate page will come down, and the book won’t be available. Until then, I’d love for as many people as possible to be part of this final stage.

If you followed along with the challenge, if you cheered me on, or if this is the first time you’re hearing about it — this is your chance to own the complete story and support Pieta House in the process.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me so far. Let’s finish this campaign strong, together.
